What is a global capability center (GCC)?

A global capability center (GCC) is a team in India that works only for your company, inside an Indian company you own. Proxsoft registers the company, helps you hire, and runs payroll, the office, insurance and compliance. You direct the work and you keep the code. It isn’t outsourcing, because nobody else’s clients share your team.

Here’s the difference in one sentence. You aren’t renting a vendor’s people. You’re building your own team, in your own company, and somebody else does the admin.

Take a US software company with eight engineers that wants ten more. It has no India entity, and no HR there either. So it sets up its own India company and its own team. Those engineers work on its product and nothing else.

GCC or offshore development center: what is the difference?

The difference is who owns what. With a global capability center (GCC), you own the Indian company, and it employs your team. With an offshore development center, the vendor owns the company and employs the staff.

Who it’s for?

It’s for
US software and SaaS companies with roughly 5 to 50 engineers
Teams that want their own people in India, not a vendor’s bench
Companies with no India entity and nobody doing HR there
Decisions usually made by a CEO, COO, CTO, VP Engineering or CFO
It isn’t for
Large enterprises that want hundreds of seats
Teams that only need contractors for a few months
Anyone who wants to hand over the work as well as the admin

How GCC setup in India works?

Setting up a global capability center in India runs in four stages. You agree the roles and the team size. We register your Indian company. We run the hiring and you pick who joins. Then we operate payroll, the office and insurance, while you direct the work.

Plan the team

We’ll agree the roles, the team size and a start date with you.

Set up your India company

We register the entity and get its compliance running.

Hire with you

We’ll find the candidates. You decide who joins.

Run it for you

We handle payroll, the office and insurance. You direct the work.

What we handle, and what you control?

We handle
Company setup and ongoing compliance
Payroll and statutory filings
Office space
Insurance
You control
Who gets hired
What the team works on, day to day
Your code, your product and your IP
Whether the team grows, and how fast

Your IP stays yours

Your GCC is your own company, and your team works only on your product. No Proxsoft employee works on your IP, and your NDA is protected. The exact terms go in your contract.

Two ways to work with us

Managed GCC

You own the company and the team. We’ll run payroll, the office, insurance and compliance, ongoing.

Build, operate, transfer

We build the center and run it for an agreed period. Then we hand the running of it to you. Terms are set case by case.

Either way the entity’s yours from day one. The only question’s who operates it.
